Dunkirk VR Experience Now available on VeeR
After opening on July 21 in North America, Dunkirk, Christopher Nolan’s latest WWII epic, was finally introduced to Chinese theaters on September 1 with a swooping $30M opening box office. VeeR VR was authorized to publish the Mandarin Chinese version of Dunkirk’s VR experience, “Save Every Breath”, that tells a grasping-at-straws story happening in three realms: in the sea, on land and mid-air.
Save Every Breath: The Dunkirk VR Experience (Mandarin Chinese version) takes your breath away, submerging you underwater in the channel, surrounded by danger; then taking you to the skies, piloting an RAF Spitfire; and finally onto the beach as one of the hundreds of thousands of trapped Allied soldiers awaiting their fate to strike.
The masterpiece depicts the evacuation of some 400,000 British and Allied troops from the Dunkirk beaches during early WWII. Besieged by Germany in northern France, surrounding waters too shallow for warships to approach, the Allied army struggled to find rays of hope for rescue. Dunkirk opened in theater in Mainland China on September 1, 2017.
