The $500 million Museum of the Bible opens Friday as the latest project of the conservative Christian family that owns the Hobby Lobby arts and crafts chain. Hobby Lobby president Steve Green said the Washington museum is a nonsectarian effort to educate people about the Bible’s broad influence. But critics say the museum is a Christian ministry disguised as a history museum with the goal of evangelizing.
