"Music meets Virtual Reality" event at Khora Virtual Reality Lab. Recorded Feb 25th 2016. Low-Fi is a global community for more fair-trade music experiences. You can go to intimate concerts or book a band to make your next gathering amazing. At Low-Fi, we believe that music is something we do together. In 2016, Low-Fi teamed up with Khora, a virtual reality workspace/content creator/physical pop-up shop, to transport the Low-Fi concert into virtual reality... The concert will be filmed with a 360-degree camera and turned into a short VR video. TEENAGE LOVE, with their special blend of playful, electronic indie-pop, is the perfect fit for this kind of experiment. Their music is like a sunny day with a breeze inside a fluorescent-lighted office. An escape that won't give you a hangover ;-) Teenage Love was formed in 2014 and consist of Katy Gunn (Brooklyn) and Anna Lidell (Copenhagen). Within 48 hours of the duo's first song (online via SoundCloud) won them Band of the Week with airplay on Danish National Radio (DR/P3). In february the international blog Hilly Dilly discovered Teenage Love and wrote: "The electronic-led production on the piece is ambitious, playful, unfamiliar, and sporadic, and with the two lead vocalists playing occasionally off of each other in harmony, there’s a sense of fun surmised that simply can’t be duplicated with any other act out right now." Since then a number of blogs including IndieShuffle and HypeMachine discovered Teenage Love, and eventually the duo was nominated for Artist of the Month in NYC the Deli Magazine. KHORA is... On one side a content creation company with Cityscape Repairman, the first Danish game in the Oculus Gear VR store. This game was a finalist in the Oculus Mobile VR jam. On the other side, Khora is a pop-up space in the meatpacking district in Copenhagen, where people can walk in and try different levels of virtual reality. Schools will be able to come in on field trips, companies can come in to see what is possible with VR. VR enthusiasts will be able to come in and collaborate with fellow content creators. The evening will offer presentations of Khora and VR, a short Q&A session on music and VR after the concert, and a chance to try some of the different VR products at the shop.
