After getting the light scared out of him, a little firefly named LIGHTNING must find the courage to turn his light back on to save his friend from the dangers of the forest.

Cornfed Pictures and TVORI presents: Lightning: A VR Story

WRITER/DIRECTOR/ANIMATOR:
Jeremy Casper - iMDb: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2796046/

ORIGINAL SCORE:
Andy Luiten - website: https://www.andyluiten.com/

PRODUCTION NOTES:
Lightning: A VR Story is the first story of its kind - an animated film created IN virtual reality FOR virtual reality. This film was created in five months (and one day). The characters were sculpted and animated entirely in virtual reality. Our VR headset of choice is the Oculus Rift (https://www.oculus.com/), and our VR sculpting app of choice is Oculus Medium (https://www.oculus.com/medium/). A VERY special thanks to the developers and all the team members at Tvori (http://tvori.co/), the animation app we used to animate the entirety of this film. Tvori is a 3D animation app that gives VR users (even those with little to no animation skills) the ability to jump right into making animated movies! Enjoy the film, and please share!

@starshipsd Wow, thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! Yes, I learned a ton on this first project. I’m working on my second film now and working through many of the very things you mentioned. Im learning a ton, but more importantly, I’m having a blast! I’m looking forward to checking out your work as well!

Excellent work. Nice to see someone else here doing some narrative and animation instead of 360 filming some sports event. Interesting little story with cute models and very well animated. Felt as though I was left looking in the wrong direction a couple of time, without enough hint where to look at. And shame it's flat, 3d would have really helped in a few of those scenes. And this is Veer's fault not yours, but that look-tracking cursor is damned annoying in the GearVR app.
