In historic Chengdu in Sichuan province, China. This was like a pilgrimage for me, because I love spicy food and this place is world renowned for their style of cooking. They use a blend of chilies and peppercorns to create a spicy and numbing sensation in your mouth. I also take you to look at one of their popular promenade spots, Kuan Zhai Xiagzi. Alleys that were restored to show the old city along with its modern upgrades.
