I made this video in the spring of 2015 shortly after getting my first 360 camera [Ricoh Theta m15]. The video quality was clearly terrible, BUT the fact that you could shoot 360 video on a cheap, pocketable camera was pretty amazing at the time. These clips were shot in downtown Boise and feature a couple locations [Idaho State Capitol Building, Freak Alley] that I revisited and shot with my Theta V this fall... it is amazing to see the jump in quality. As 4K becomes the standard and we push towards even higher 360 video resolutions... it is good to remember that just a few years back, this was the affordable single camera option for 360 video. Soundtrack provided by Boise's Sun Blood Stories. This song, “Palace Mountain Mirage”, was featured on their Twilight Midnight Morning lp.
