Twas the night before Christmas when Bean was spying on Santa Claus!

Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house
not a creature was stirring
except a cheese-eating mouse
(and my cats Dingo & Bunny)

Outside my window
I truly did see
Santa Claus and his reindeer…
come to visit me

So I snuck down the stairs
and hid in wait
Cookies and milk…
my Christmas bait

Stockings were hung
by the fireplace with care
Where Santa appeared…
right out of thin air!

He was chubby and plump,
a jolly old elf
He “ho, ho, ho”’d and chuckled
all to himself

Go ahead Santa,
those cookies partake
but read my wish list
for goodness sake

Don’t eat ALL the treats,
you don’t want to be late
Save some for me…
you best watch your weight

Santa snapped his fingers
with joyful glee
and a bunch of toys appeared…
under the Christmas tree!

When he suddenly turned around
and looked my way
I ran up the stairs
I didn’t dare stay

Right up the chimney
and back into night
I thought I heard Santa
now far out of sight —

“Happy Christmas to all,
and to all a good night.”
