This Roman temple is located in Mérida (Extremadura, Spain), the former Roman town of Emerita Augusta. It has been altered and reused thoughout the last 2000 years, specially on the 16th Century, when a palace was built upon its cella. Although it is known as Temple of Diana, it was actually dedicated to emperor Augustus.
