#IWasHere  #UpinTheAir  La Soufrière, nicknamed "vié madanm la" in Guadeloupean Creole, literally "la vieille dame" in French, is a working  volcano located on the territory of the commune of Saint-Claude in Guadeloupe, in the national park of the same name, in the south of the island of Basse-Terre. The town of Basse-Terre, chief town of the department and overseas region, is about ten kilometers southwest and Carbet Falls on its eastern flank. It is the only active volcano on the island, currently in a state of eruptive rest. (Wikipedia)
