Giverny is a village in the Normandy region of northern France. Impressionist painter Claude Monet lived and worked there from 1883 until his death in 1926. The artist's house and its landscaped gardens, in which he created his famous water-lily series, are now the Claude Monet Foundation's museum. The Giverny Museum of Impressionnisms located nearby, presents the highlights of the Impressionist artistic movement.
