De Panoven is one of the oldest still functioning stone ovens in the Netherlands. It's unique zig-zag design made it especially efficient. Detail: the maze of ovens inside proved a great hide-out for various people on the run for the Germans in the WW2. The Germans were too afraid the place was boobytrapped to go inside and look. The whole complex is marked as Dutch Industrial heritage.
