It was on 1999 and I used one of the first Canon digital cameras, i.e. Canon PowerShot A5 Zoom, having 1024x768 pixel images then combined them using Canon PhotoStich software.
I've now calculated the vertical view angle, according plain cambined jpg file and found it 43,84241770102536°, and ok rounded to 44°, so this is the result.
