VR Application-Virtual Reality Shopping Experience
Living in the fast-paced society, shopping online is on the rise. People search for goods in the online stores and put an order without actually picking up items. But as the technology booms, even online shopping provides a “real experience”. VR shopping is trying to not only provide customers the convenience of online shopping, but also the virtual reality experience of being in a store.
On 26, September, Mastercard and Swarovski launched a virtual reality shopping app for the Atelier Swarovski home décor line, a collection of functional and decorative crystal home accessories designed in collaboration with world-renowned architects and designers. This special app can offer an immersive experience for customers in a tastefully decorated home, via the VR app they can search and buy the pieces with Masterpass, Mastercard’s digital payment service.
And early in 2016, an e-commerce giant Alibaba had launched Buy+ VR shopping on Taobao app. With the help of a VR cardboard, this shopping application can bring you to the shopping malls from all over the world and you can buy anything you like online. The current version covers 7 shopping malls from 3 different countries and offers hundreds of goods, including Macy’s from New York.
Big companies like Amazon, Ikea, Audi, eBay, etc. had also worked on adding virtual reality shopping in the attempt to increase sales. And more companies no matter small or big ones are expected to apply the VR shopping in their industries. Virtual reality technology now has applied in many applications, like the VR shopping, healthcare, travel, marketing, film, games, etc. VeeR VR as one of the leading and fast growing virtual reality content platform, believes that VR creation and consumption is becoming more accessible to everyday users, VeeR’s vision is to be the natural platform for everyone to express their creativity, promote their works, and engage in the community.
